Age of Mythology: Retold – Immortal Pillars is a single-player strategy game that lets you explore an expanded version of the Age of Mythology: Retold, serving as the first enhanced version of this game. This downloadable content offers new features that improve players' gameplay experience. Developed by Xbox Game Studios, it’s available on PC. 

Age of Mythology: Retold – Immortal Pillars functions similarly to games like Civilization V and Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, providing players with a turn-based strategy gameplay experience. The added features to the game give players a more thrilling and fun gaming experience.  

Offers new gods, units, and powers  

Its base game, Age of Mythology: Retold is about commanding legendary monsters and calling upon gods to defeat your enemies. It offers a wide variety of gods, from Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Atlantean pantheons, Nidhogg dragon, and Dyrads. Here, players can embark on a journey with multiple campaigns, or specifically, 50 missions that they need to accomplish as they explore a mythical vast world. 

In Age of Mythology: Retold – Immortal Pillars, you can discover a new set of gods and their powers, as well as new legendary units. In this game, you can also summon a fierce goddess called Nüwa, control Chiyou, a bull-headed god of war, and call upon Nüba, the god of drought. You’ll meet various kinds of goddesses in this downloadable content. 

Additionally, this expansion focuses on the China-focused Tale of the Dragon which wasn’t offered in the original Age of Mythology. With new deities that players can encounter in this DLC, they can have a lot of options of who are the goddesses that they want to summon as they play the game. However, as the game focuses on gods and goddesses, it doesn’t offer a character development feature.
